A trusted university needed a solution for its work orders which was simple for the entire student body as well as the maintenance workers.  They needed a web based solution.  Terminal Velocity FM worked with the onsite Subject Matter Experts to develop a completely web based Software as a Service model which has served the students and staff for over seven years.

Our team created the initial database importing all previous validated data. We then worked with a focus group to define which parts of a COTS product would allow the ease of use needed for the diverse population of student, staff, and maintenance group.

Security was prepared using the LDAP and Single Sign On approach. Each role allows users the form they require to do their tasks.  Our team updated the user lists for several years, then passed the updates to the universities IT department over time.

The implementation included naming conventions for all buildings, floors, and rooms which were labled in the field using duplicated room numbers in some cases.  Historically, the room numbers needed to remain, so our staff configured a lookup for each room creating a unique code for one to one room validation.

CAD plans were linked to the database with spatial information and use types per APPA standards.  The floor plans were verified for use by our team over time.  We also updated room additions and changes for the client

Presently, the university has become a self supporting group, as they have grown the system to be the central repository for space, work, and use information for reporting and ongoing maintenance.
